Le standard Power over Ethernet (PoE) suit \u00e9galement cette tendance et r\u00e9pond \u00e0 la mont\u00e9e en puissance des \u00e9quipements.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>PoE : jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 90W de puissance gr\u00e2ce au 802.3bt<\/h2>\n<p>Le Power over Ethernet a fait du chemin depuis ses premiers pas. En 2003, la norme 802.3af poussait le PoE jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 15,4W de puissance, au-dessus, de 2 paires torsad\u00e9es de cat\u00e9gorie 3 ou sup\u00e9rieure. En 2009, le standard 802.3at a permis de doubler la puissance du PoE : jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 30W sur 2 paires de cat\u00e9gorie 5, 5e ou 6.<\/p>\n<p>Mais gr\u00e2ce au standard 802.3bt, la puissance du PoE (type 4) atteint d\u00e9sormais une puissance de 90W sur 4 paires de cuivre. Ce nouveau standard a un double objectif : r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la mont\u00e9e en puissance des \u00e9quipements (Wi-Fi, cam\u00e9ras de surveillance\u2026) et satisfaire les nouveaux usages (\u00e9clairage LED&#8230;).<\/p>\n<h2>Impact de l&rsquo;\u00e9volution du standard PoE sur l&rsquo;infrastructure<\/h2>\n<p>Cette \u00e9volution du PoE n&rsquo;est pas sans cons\u00e9quence, elle requiert une infrastructure adapt\u00e9e. En effet, l&rsquo;impact thermique des p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques PoE sur les c\u00e2bles Ethernet, dans les planchers ou les faux plafonds des b\u00e2timents, doit \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9. L&rsquo;augmentation de temp\u00e9rature g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e par l&rsquo;usage du PoE+ sur un faisceau de 121 c\u00e2bles de cat\u00e9gorie 5e peut par exemple aller jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 6 \u00b0C. En \u00e9t\u00e9, l&rsquo;augmentation de temp\u00e9rature peut atteindre 70 \u00b0C dans un faux plafond, une valeur trop proche des limites sp\u00e9cifi\u00e9es par les fabricants.<\/p>\n<p>Il faut aussi tenir compte des possibilit\u00e9s d&rsquo;apparition d&rsquo;arcs \u00e9lectriques au niveau des connecteurs. Ces arcs peuvent se produire lors de l&rsquo;insertion ou le retrait des fiches RJ-45 dans les prises Ethernet en PoE.
